Live Earth India has been cancelled
Joint Official Statement from Live Earth Founder Kevin Wall, The Office of the Honorable Al Gore and Dr. R.K. Pachauri, Chairman IPCC regarding Live Earth IndiaEveryone involved with Live Earth India, from our U.S.- and India-based staff, artists and crew to our India-based broadcast, production, non-profit and marketing communications partners, is stunned and saddened by the tragic events of the past few days in our host city Mumbai. We always felt very welcomed and safe as we spent more time on the ground in Mumbai to finalize plans for Live Earth India, scheduled for December 7.
Due to circumstances far beyond our control, we are saddened to announce that Live Earth India has been cancelled. We will continue to work for solutions to the climate crisis for the good of the people of India and around the world. But for now, our thoughts and our prayers are with the victims of this terrible attack, with the bereaved, with the people of Mumbai and with everyone in India.

Announce “Live Earth India” December 7, 2008, in Mumbai, IndiaMumbai, India (September 18, 2008) – On December 7, 2008, Live Earth India, this year’s concert for a climate in crisis, will feature world-renowned musicians and performers, environmental advocates and celebrities from India, the U.S. and all over the globe. Live Earth India will feature personal and policy solutions to the climate crisis, offer support for India’s most important environmental issues and causes, and provide a platform so India can continue its global climate leadership. Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, who participated in the press announcement live via satellite, said India should lead the world by committing to produce all of its new energy in the electricity sector from clean and renewable sources within the next 10 years. Beneficiaries of Live Earth India include TERI’s Light A Billion Lives campaign and Climate Project India, which are dedicated to promoting awareness and finding solutions to current climate situations while alleviating poverty. Along with Mr. Gore, Indian environmental leader Dr. R. K. Pachauri, actor and Live Earth India spokesperson Amitabh Bachchan, and Jon Bon Jovi, lead singer of Live Earth India western headliner Bon Jovi, all joined Executive Producer and Live Earth founder Kevin Wall for today’s important announcement. Also in attendance were Sabbas Joseph from WizCraft Entertainment and representatives from TERI and Project Climate India. In a surprise announcement Kevin Wall disclosed that the Creative Director for Live Earth India was none other than acclaimed Indian film director and producer Shekhar Kapur. Live Earth India is coming to Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai, India, December 7, 2008.
“Live Earth’s mission is to cultivate grassroots and worldwide awareness of and solutions for environmental issues that affect us all. Awareness activates change and important issues deserve a global platform,” said Kevin Wall, founder of Live Earth. “That’s why the stage for Live Earth India will host some of the biggest artists from India to the U.S. and beyond, while we bring India to the world. Bon Jovi entertains this Wednesday at Mellon Arena, then returns to the Igloo on March 15 for an initially scheduled and virtually sold-out show.
On Feb. 13, bandmates Bryan, Richie Sambora and Tico Torres did a one-hour conference call with reporters to promote the spring leg of Bon Jovi’s Lost Highway Tour. The band was in New York, preparing to leave the next day for Northern Illinois University to rehearse for the first time with their new stage set.

Fashion Rocks
■NYで開催されるチャリティ・コンサート『Fashion Rocks』へのゲスト出演が決定9月7日にニューヨークのRadio City Music Hallで開催されるファッション関係のチャリティ・コンサート『第3回 Fashion Rocks』に、エルトン・ジョンが出演すると発表されました。エルトンがキューレーターも務めるこのコンサートでは、エルトン＋ゲストという形式での共演パフォーマンスが披露されるそうで、ゲストとして、カニエ・ウェスト、ネリー・ファータド、ブラック・アイド・ピーズ、ボン・ジョヴィ、シザー・シスターズ、リアーナ、プッシーキャット・ドールズ、Beyonce、Christina Aguilera、Tim McGraw、Faith Hill、Jamie Foxx、Daddy Yankeeなどが出演する予定です。ファッション面は、ヴェルサーチやカルヴァン・クラインとの仕事で知られるKCDがプロデュースを担当します。なお、このコンサートの模様は、米CBSテレビで同日放映。チケットの売上金は、エルトンが主宰するエイズ基金に寄付されるということです。

Film Festival (June 22 - July 2) in Los Angeles, there will be a FREE, PUBLIC SCREENING of AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, the Al Gore movie about global warming, climate control and environmental issues. As part of this special public event, JON BON JOVI and RICHIE SAMBORA will be performing prior to the movie. Greetings from LondonTown. Bon Jovi have arrived in the UK to kick off the UK leg of the HAVE A NICE DAY tour.
Just moments ago, Jon Bon Jovi finished taping an appearance on FRIDAY NIGHT with JONATHAN ROSS. The interview is part of the show that airs on BBC1 tomorrow night, FRIDAY, JUNE 2nd at 10:45pm GMT.
Earlier in the day tomorrow, BON JOVI will be the in-studio guests on BBC2's KEN BRUCE SHOW. They'll be performing live so tune in if you can. Continue reading...BON JOVI ar currently on tour in JAPAN. They've played two shows in TOKYO and one show in NAGOYA. Last night (Friday, April 14th) they played the OSAKA DOME in OSAKA, JAPAN. Now, for the first three shows of the Japanese tour, Jon Bon Jovi began the show by performing LAST MAN STANDING out on the Front of House mix position (just like he did for much of the arena runs earlier in the tour.) He would then make his way to the stage, through the crowd - again, just like in the US/Canada dates of the past few months. However, when it came to the acoustic portion of the show, even if the band performed BLAZE OF GLORY, it was not done from a platform out in the crowd. The venue (baseball stadium) didn't allow for that type of production.
So, for the OSAKA show, Jon decided to change things up a bit. Check out the set list:

Continue reading...BON JOVI are heading to JAPAN this weekend to kick off the promotion of HAVE A NICE DAY. They will be doing extensive press, promo, TV and radio while in Japan. Then, they head to AMSTERDAM for more intensive press and promo and the big HAVE A NICE DAY Launch Event at HEINEKEN MUSIC HALL in AMSTERDAM on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH. The event is sold out to the public (fan club members might still be in luck though - keep your eyes on the fan club site!) The band then heads to the UNITED STATES to being the promotional week of release on this side of the pond. The only event that week that has been confirmed and announced is the BON JOVI HAVE A NICE DAY LAUNCH from NOKIA THEATRE TIMES SQUARE on Monday, SEPTEMBER 19th. The rest of the details about the band's activities week of US release are being finalized and will be shared in a press release outlining their appearances and activities... so standby. You'll see that information soon enough... and there's ALOT of activity in the works. After the US week of release, the band is going BACK to Europe to promote the album there. Am 16. September wird in der Heineken Arena in Amsterdam ein exklusives Pre-Listening von "Have A Nice Day" stattfinden. Der Höhepunkt dieses Abends wird eine Live Performance von Bon Jovi sein - Neben einigen großen Hits stellt die Band auch eine Auswahl der neuen Songs vor. Die Karten für das Event sind ab dem 3. September erhältlich und definitiv schwer zu bekommen, da es sich hier um ein einmaliges Event für Europa handelt und die Hallenkapazität bei etwa 3500 Plätzen liegt.

ALBUM FORMAT UPDATES
Lots of different formats to the new Bon Jovi album, so a recap and some new details to keep everyone on the same page!Continue reading...In JAPAN, the album is released on September 14th. The standard album in Japan will have the 12 album tracks plus 3 bonus tracks. It will be in a jewel case. There will be the standard thin white paper booklet inside the jewelcase that the label in Japan includes with the lyrics in Japanese and some additional info.
In JAPAN, also released on September 14th, will be the Limited Edition Embossed DigiPak that has a CD and DVD. The CD is exactly the same as the regular package. The DVD contains five songs from the November 2004 show in Atlantic City (Everyday, Miss Fourth of July, I Get A Rush, These Arms Are Open All Night and The Radio Saved My Life Tonight.) It also includes a brief photo gallery and the HAVE A NICE DAY Electronic Press Kit piece (EP - with Japanese subtitles)

YES!!Continue reading...RICHIE SAMBORA will be attending the SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME ceremonies in NYC on June 9th. He will be inducting LES PAUL into the Hall of Fame. He will also join the all-star jam and perform at the dinner. (He did this back in 2000 -- which is why, when he appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart he was all dressed up! He'd snuck out of the event to do the show, then headed back!)

The BON JOVI gang headed up to BOSTON, Massachussetts yesterday (Thursday, MAY 19) for a private show (for a software company called SAP.) The concert was at the Agganis Arena, the brand new hockey venue built at Boston University. The band flew up in the afternoon and weren't in the building more than an hour before their friends in the sports world joined them backstage and to watch soundcheck. DOUG FLUTIE was on hand, as was DAVID WELLS. The band took the stage around 9:00pm and were joined by BOBBY BANDIERA on guitar and JEFF KAZEE on additional keyboards (7 guys playing on stage!) During the show, New England Patriots Head Coach BILL BELICHICK entered the building to watch his friend on stage. The band had sports royalty cheering them on. The set list was as follows:

BOX SET DVD: EASTER EGG DIRECTIONS100,000,000 BON JOVI FANS CAN'T BE WRONG included a bonus DVD which, in turn, included five (5) EASTER EGGS of footage. While many fans were able to find the Easter Eggs on their own and share with other fans how to find them, many other fans have still yet to learn the secrets. Therefore, with Easter coming up fast on the calendar, following is a 'map' to the 5 Easter Eggs (sorry, no chocolate involved):
1. RIDE THE SNAKE - On the MAIN MENU put the HIGHLIGHT on the GREEN BONUS PASS. Press the down-arrow on your DVD remote THREE times and the clip will play automatically. The clip is of the band leaving the dressing room and walking towards the stage.
2. LOVE FOR OBIE - During the chapter 'MISS FOURTH OF JULY' Jon talks about running a corporation and the visual clip of Jon getting off the band's plane is the key to accessing the Easter Egg. When the clip of Jon getting off the plane is on your screen, press the ENTER or OK button on your DVD remote. The original clip will play in its entirety with a special message from Richie to Obie.
3. JON MEETS GEORGE MARTIN - From the MAIN MENU, select the GREEN BONUS PASS, then select the BAND MESSAGES pass. Put the highlight on JON's picture and with the arrows on your DVD remote, press the following combinations: DOWN, RIGHT, LEFT, UP, UP, UP. On the third press of the up arro, the initials 'JB' will automatically pop up. Press the ENTER or OK button on your DVD remote at this point to access the footage of Jon Bon Jovi working in a London recording studio with Sir George Martin. Sir George Martin, the Beatles' producer, worked with Jon on The Glory of Gershwin, a George Gerswin tribute album. Jon performed 'How Long Has This Been Going On' featuring Richie Sambora on guitar.
4. SO YOU WANNA BE A ROAD MANAGER? When the previous Easter Egg's initials 'JB' pop up, don't press the Enter or OK button on your DVD remote. INSTEAD, press the ARROWS on your DVD remote in the following combinations to have another bonus clip automatically play: LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT. The footage is an outtake from the VH-1 Command The Band contest/program. The two finalists are at the Amsterdam Airport where they meet the band (well, not all of them) for the first time...
5. ASS TECH - From the MAIN MENU, select the GREEN BONUS PASS, then select the PHOTO PASS. Proceed to the last photo in the Photo Gallery by pressing NEXT. On the last photo, put the highlight on BONUS MENU and press the arrow buttons on your DVD remote in the following combination to access the bonus clip automatically: UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT. Richie needs a pillow - this is classic BJTV footage included for those who didn't see it online.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS RICHIE SAMBORA?Continue reading...1) After working on the album in Los Angeles last week, RICHIE SAMBORA hit the Big Apple this week. On Monday March 8th he took part in the COMEDY LOVE CALL at New York City's Beacon Theatre. This was a fundraising comedy performance to raise monies for Autism research and education. It was spearheaded by Robert Smigel, the brilliant comedy writer (a/k/a 'Triumph The Insult Comic Dog'.) Those who attended and participated also included Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Horatio Sanz, Rachel Dratch and Amy Poehler as well as Adam Sandler, Conan O'Brien, Lewis Black, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.
2) On Tuesday MARCH 9th, RICHIE is performing as part of the PEOPLE FOR THE AMERICAN WAY's 2005 The SPIRIT OF LIBERTY Gala at New York City's legendary PLAZA HOTEL. The organization is honoring many people (Richie is participating as a friend is being honored.) Richie will be performing, accompanied by Hugh McDonald and Everett Bradley. Other performers slated to perform at the event included Patti Smith and Dave Matthews. This is a high-ticket fundraiser which has been sold out for some time however, celebrity syndicated photo sites (i.e. www.wireimage.com and their international counterparts) have images from the event. Richie, we're quite sure, would like to get home to the LA weather after experiencing the brutal winter storm that hit NYC today.

We're not saying... we're just saying. Santa is bringing a suprise visitor to Blythedale Childrens Hospital in Valhalla, New York to be a part of the annual Christmas radio show... and you know the Secret Santa... BON JOVI ON CNN

TV VIEWERS keep your eyes open...Beginning today (Friday, December 10th) there will be a BON JOVI piece on CNN's 'Daily News from Entertainment Weekly' Feed which goes out to more than 70 affiliates in the US and overseas. Also, beginning on Sunday, December 12th, look for a slighly longer piece on BON JOVI to be on CNN HEADLINE NEWS. This segment is footage from the AMA soundcheck and interviews and repeats approximately hourly for a day. All this footage then is available to CNN International, CNNfn, CNN Spanish, CNN Radio, CNN Airport Channel and CNN IN-Flight (we however have NO confirmation or information as to whether or not any of these elements will run the story.)

What you do know is that Jon spoke on behalf of the band when accepting the awards (and you can go to the VIDEOS section of the 100,000,000 BON JOVI FANS CAN'T BE WRONG... page of this website to view the entire AMA segment featuring Bon Jovi's career retrospective reel, their performance and the speech.) What you probably don't know is that the thank you speech Jon gave was an abbreviated one... Jon actually had written a longer speech but since there is only so much time for thanks yous during a live awards telecast, he edited the speech down to what you saw/heard him deliver during the show. Jon however gave us the full-length speech to share with you here at www.bonjovi.com

Welcome to December and the start of the holiday season. A few news tidbits to hold you over:JAPAN will see the release of 100,000,000 BON JOVI FANS CAN'T BE WRONG on December 15th. The box set itself will be exactly the same as the box set released around the world. The label in Japan however will be adding a booklet (containing Japanese essays and translations of the song lyrics) and a compilation CD (containing 10 previously released b-sides from prior releases of Bon Jovi in Japan) to the outside packaging of the box set.

THE TODAY SHOW
(Tuesday, November 23, 2004)
Thousands and thousands of Bon Jovi fans headed down to Rockefeller Plaza to witness BON JOVI perform on THE TODAY SHOW this morning. It was chilly but the guys were there early - first for a souncheck at 6am... Then they came back for an on-camera soundcheck with 'YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME' (abbreviated...) before Matt Lauer introduced them officially... the band played three songs: YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME, IT'S MY LIFE (which was the winner of The Today Show's Viewers Choice poll with 68% of the votes) and RADIO SAVED MY LIFE TONIGHT. And now, the band is off for the holiday... So, if you celebrate Thanksgiving, have a great holiday as well (and if you're a turkey - RUN!!)

Borgata Show Update !!
JON AND THE BOYS ARE BACK AND WE’RE READY TO PARTY
Sunday, November 21, 2004 – BorgataSpecial Fan Club tickets will be available for the show at the Borgata in Atlantic City on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004 through the Fan Club. We do have a limited amount of tickets, so they will be sold on a first come basis.
The price of each ticket is $250.00 plus a $15 handling fee
Each current member is eligible to purchase one ticket on a first come basis.
Each request must include:
1.Money Order, International Money Order or bank check in U.S Funds, payable to Backstage w/JBJ in the amount of $265.00
2.Completed ticket request form (below)A list of names of those fortunate enough to get a ticket will be posted on the website
Tickets will be picked up at the Borgata on the day of the show from the Backstage Staff who will personally be there to accommodate you. At that time, you will need your membership card and photo ID. More information will be posted on the website.
(If you have renewed your membership and have not yet received your card, it will arrive with the next issue in time for this show.)
