Jon Bon Jovi sported a football jersey of the team he owns - The Philadlephia Soul -- and left the stage knowing the team was in a "win or go home" situation back in the States. He got to celebrate the Sou's win and playoff berth from Germany! Great first show - the tour's off to a great start. We hope all that attended had a great time. The band is just about ready to land in Austria by private plane for their show in LINZ tonight... we'll get you the set list from tonight's show as soon as it comes through from Austria... looks for photos (here and at the AEG Live site as well!)

The band arrived in Germany Wednesday and Thursday. Friday was rehearsal day (there was limited exclusive access to the band rehearsal for the media) and then Saturday, showday in Dusseldorf, had a press conference, photo call and some press pre-show as well to kick off the European tour. Here's the press release the international label pubilicity team sent out (nothing you don't know but you can see the info that's out there):

BON JOVI KICKS OFF their EUROPEAN leg of the HAVE A NICE DAY stadium TOUR in front of 50,000 fans at the sold out LTU STADIUM in GERMANY

Multi-million selling rock giants BON JOVI have officially kicked off the HAVE A NICE DAY European tour! The tour is named after the group's multi-platinum album which hit #1 in Germany, as well as debuting at the top of the charts in countries all over the world.

Bon Jovi are one of the only groups currently performing who can consistently sell out stadiums around the world. The production standards they create on every tour set a new benchmark of excellence. The latest show features the world's largest LED screen and a number of other visual surprises.

This European itinerary follows six sold-out Japanese dates and two sold-out US tours. It will feature a non-stop run of some of rock music's most cherieshed songs, from 'Keep The Faith', 'Livin' On A Prayer' and "It's My Life" to the band's current smash hit "Who Says You Can't Go Home."
