Jon Bon Jovi: This one I take personally, so take this nomination with a grain of salt. Last week I covered the opening night at Billy Crystal's one-man show on Broadway. I interviewed many A-list names on the red carpet, but when Bon Jovi made his way toward me, he took one look at my FOX News microphone and said "Forget FOX," and walked away (that is the G-rated version of what he actually said).
I don't think he knows that I heard him.
I was hurt. First of all, I've been a huge fan of Bon Jovi ever since high school. But more to the point, it wasn't "Forget FOX" when I did a feature on him singing at New York City firehouses after 9/11. It wasn't "Forget FOX" when I covered the release of his new album "Bounce" when he fumbled snaps at Giants Stadium. It wasn't "Forget FOX" when I covered his NFL kick-off concert in Times Square, and it wasn't "Forget FOX" when I followed Richie Sambora behind the scenes at Continental Airlines Arena for yet another feature story on the band. And it wasn't "Forget FOX" when FOXNews.com did a piece on Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres' baby clothes company.
But I'll tell you what, Jon. I will remember "Forget FOX" the next time your publicist calls to pitch me a story on your behalf. Grrr!

TV VIEWERS keep your eyes open...Beginning today (Friday, December 10th) there will be a BON JOVI piece on CNN's 'Daily News from Entertainment Weekly' Feed which goes out to more than 70 affiliates in the US and overseas. Also, beginning on Sunday, December 12th, look for a slighly longer piece on BON JOVI to be on CNN HEADLINE NEWS. This segment is footage from the AMA soundcheck and interviews and repeats approximately hourly for a day. All this footage then is available to CNN International, CNNfn, CNN Spanish, CNN Radio, CNN Airport Channel and CNN IN-Flight (we however have NO confirmation or information as to whether or not any of these elements will run the story.)

What you do know is that Jon spoke on behalf of the band when accepting the awards (and you can go to the VIDEOS section of the 100,000,000 BON JOVI FANS CAN'T BE WRONG... page of this website to view the entire AMA segment featuring Bon Jovi's career retrospective reel, their performance and the speech.) What you probably don't know is that the thank you speech Jon gave was an abbreviated one... Jon actually had written a longer speech but since there is only so much time for thanks yous during a live awards telecast, he edited the speech down to what you saw/heard him deliver during the show. Welcome to December and the start of the holiday season. A few news tidbits to hold you over:JAPAN will see the release of 100,000,000 BON JOVI FANS CAN'T BE WRONG on December 15th. The box set itself will be exactly the same as the box set released around the world. The label in Japan however will be adding a booklet (containing Japanese essays and translations of the song lyrics) and a compilation CD (containing 10 previously released b-sides from prior releases of Bon Jovi in Japan) to the outside packaging of the box set.
