GREETINGS FROM BEANTOWN

GREETINGS FROM BEANTOWN

(Friday, May 20, 2005)

The BON JOVI gang headed up to BOSTON, Massachussetts yesterday (Thursday, MAY 19) for a private show (for a software company called SAP.) The concert was at the Agganis Arena, the brand new hockey venue built at Boston University. The band flew up in the afternoon and weren't in the building more than an hour before their friends in the sports world joined them backstage and to watch soundcheck. DOUG FLUTIE was on hand, as was DAVID WELLS. The band took the stage around 9:00pm and were joined by BOBBY BANDIERA on guitar and JEFF KAZEE on additional keyboards (7 guys playing on stage!) During the show, New England Patriots Head Coach BILL BELICHICK entered the building to watch his friend on stage. The band had sports royalty cheering them on. The set list was as follows:

To love and marry in L.A

The wilder the rocker, the shakier the marriage. Bad boys are attractive, but some women eventually come to their senses – like Heather Locklear who left wildman Tommy Lee for more stable Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora (another nice guy, I know, from interviewing him) with whom she seems very secure and happy. That Renee traded her rocky romance for a country singer could spell similar success, since country singers are generally by nature more heart-centered in their tunes about love and broken hearts.

AS OF MAY 13, 2005(Friday, May 13, 2005)

Good morning cherubs!!! So nice to see you visiting our site here at www.bonjovi.com -- just wanted to share the very latest in Bon Jovi updates with you all. Gather round! As of now, there is still no official release date determined for the forthcoming BON JOVI record - nothing confirmed and nothing we're at liberty to discuss with you all. We understand people are genuinely excited (we are too!!!!) and we understand that it can be relentlessly confusing when band members or third parties are mentioning information that may or may not come to pass... so, since this site is the Official Bon Jovi site it makes no sense to toss around speculations. When there is a confirmed released date and we get the greenlight from the band and their managers, we'll be able to announce it officially. We promise, we're not trying to keep any secrets from you - but loose lips sink ships and if we're not allowed to share info, we're not allowed to share info. We're sure you all understand completely.

PLEASE STAND BY

PLEASE STAND BY (Friday, May 13, 2005)

... as www.bonjovi.com heads into a phase where many elements of the site will be overhauled. As the band moves into an album promotion/release and touring phase, you might notice elements of this site changing over the next several months. While most of the changes will be behind the scenes, some may be obvious to the casual visitor (i.e. new 'testimonial' format for easier viewing - yes! more testimonials will continue to be added! - and the cessation of the Q&A function.) We can confirm however, the basic look and feel of the site will not be changing. We hope you'll bear with us and our staff as the site continues to move foward.

Top-secret sound check

From the top-secret sound check to the star-studded red carpet, "Extra" has your all-access pass as Jon Bon Jovi rocks Sin City with a head-banging concert for the Hard Rock Hotel's 10th anniversary birthday bash.

"This is fun for us tonight," Bon Jovi told us.

The Hard Rock show was only the second time in two years the legendary Jersey band has played live. "We couldn't play in the club because the VIP list alone was more than the club held, so they built a make-shift stage in their parking lot," Bon Jovi explained.

The band has a new album and a tour planned for next fall, but lately Jon's been focusing on his day job: the football fanatic is the owner of an arena football team, The Philadelphia Soul.

"I've fallen in love with it because not only do I get football 12 months a year, but we've made such a difference in the community," Bon Jovi told us.

That's right, the rock-star-turned-Robin-Hood raised $.5 million for charities last year through the team, and he's using appearances like his Hard Rock show to get famous friends to sign on for a good cause.

But the rocker revealed that managing a team and time in the office is a lot harder than working the crowd with that mic. "It's like having an honest to God job," he laughed. "I've never had a job."
