GREETINGS FROM BEANTOWN

GREETINGS FROM BEANTOWN

(Friday, May 20, 2005)

The BON JOVI gang headed up to BOSTON, Massachussetts yesterday (Thursday, MAY 19) for a private show (for a software company called SAP.) The concert was at the Agganis Arena, the brand new hockey venue built at Boston University. The band flew up in the afternoon and weren't in the building more than an hour before their friends in the sports world joined them backstage and to watch soundcheck. DOUG FLUTIE was on hand, as was DAVID WELLS. The band took the stage around 9:00pm and were joined by BOBBY BANDIERA on guitar and JEFF KAZEE on additional keyboards (7 guys playing on stage!) During the show, New England Patriots Head Coach BILL BELICHICK entered the building to watch his friend on stage. The band had sports royalty cheering them on. The set list was as follows:

LIVIN' ON A PRAYER
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME
RUNAWAY
IT'S MY LIFE
BORN TO BE MY BABY
JUST OLDER
I GET A RUSH
WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE
RAISE YOUR HANDS
I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD
BAD MEDICINE (Jon was out sining the song while walking through the crowd and dancing with concertgoers.)
SHOUT!

Encore:
I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU (acoustic - just Jon and Richie with two acoustic guitars trading lead vocals.)
THE RADIO SAVED MY LIFE TONIGHT
WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME?

More news in the weeks to follow...
