BON JOVI TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE U.K. MUSIC HALL OF FAME - NOV 14

Bon Jovi and James Brown in line for Britain痴 music honours list

Legends of rock and soul to perform live at Alexandra Palace

Channel 4 and Initial today revealed that Bon Jovi and James Brown will be inducted into the UK Music Hall Of Fame this year and will perform live at the event on 14th November.

There are few acts in the world that can deliver stadium shows of massive proportions, release continuous hit albums and solicit an entire new generation of fans 23 years into their career. Bon Jovi is that band.

Bon Jovi are responsible for some of the most recognizable hits of the past 20 years, including "It痴 My Life", "Livin' on a Prayer", "Wanted Dead or Alive� and their most recent number 1 展ho Says You Can稚 Go Home.� They have sold over one hundred million albums around the world, performed more than 2,500 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 32 million people. Following the success of their ninth hit album, the band has never been as popular and shows no sign of slowing down.

典he Godfather of Soul�, James Brown is considered by many to be the most legendary living artist on the planet. With hits including 撤apa痴 Got a brand new bag�, 敵et Up (Sex Machine)�, "It's a Man's Man's Man's World" and 的 Feel Good (I Got You)� he is the most sampled musician in history. Still touring into his seventies, he痴 certainly living up to his other moniker as, 典he hardest working man in showbusiness�.

Alongside James Brown and Bon Jovi, the show will also see one of the hottest new talents in the UK, singer-songwriter James Morrison performing a tribute to inductee Rod Stewart. The line up will also include Brian Wilson and his band performing live; British soul sensation Joss Stone and R&B legend Patti LaBelle performing two of Dusty Springfield痴 greatest hits and rock痴 latest stars, Wolfmother performing a tribute to Led Zeppelin.

Now in its third year, The UK Music Hall of Fame 2006 Induction Ceremony will for the second year running be staged at London痴 Alexandra Palace, hosted by Dermot O鱈eary. The event will take place on Tuesday 14th November and will be transmitted on Channel 4 on 16th November and on VH1 in the USA on 25th November. Radio 2痴 Mark Radcliffe will be presenting his show live from the event on 14th November between 10.00pm-12.00midnight.

Inductees announced so far for this year痴 event are Brian Wilson, Dusty Springfield, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart and now Bon Jovi and James Brown.

These six will join Sir George Martin who is receiving this year's Honorary Membership in recognition of his exceptional contribution to British music.

Since its launch in 2004, the UK Music Hall of Fame has inducted 20 of the greatest names in music history including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Bob Dylan, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, U2, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley and The Kinks.

Artists are selected for induction by the UK Music Hall of Fame Steering Group - a panel comprising over 60 respected artists, music journalists, broadcasters and music industry executives.

Tickets for the UK Music Hall of Fame 2006 are now on sale (see below) and further details of performances and inductees will be announced in due course.
