RICHIE UPDATE
YES!!RICHIE SAMBORA will be attending the SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME ceremonies in NYC on June 9th. He will be inducting LES PAUL into the Hall of Fame. He will also join the all-star jam and perform at the dinner. (He did this back in 2000 -- which is why, when he appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart he was all dressed up! He'd snuck out of the event to do the show, then headed back!)
NO - due to change of plans and despite prior information released, RICHIE will NOT be participating in the June 19th Les Paul & Friends concert at Carnegie Hall. Father's Day he'll be home in LA.
ROCKIN' THE CORPS -- did you see the news item about this concert? The Camp Pendleton show that was held on April 8 will be shown on cinema screens and HDTV.. then will come out on DVD (yes! Richie's performance is included!) Keep looking for more details as they're forwarded from the team who ran this big concert event.
THANK YOU for all the concern - RICHIE & CO are AOK. They have a home in Laguna Hills, CA but no reports of damage (other homes suffered worse fates due to landslides yesterday.)
More news as it trickles in... (rest assured, over the next few weeks and months, the trickle will be more like a steady stream, then a constant flow and then a Class-5 rapids.) Stay tuned!
