One of the many surprises on Randy Jackson’s "Music Club" album will shock fans of the group Bon Jovi: Richie Sambora can sing.

It’s a pretty good day when you’re expecting a call from Richie Sambora, the legendary front man and lead guitarist for Bon Jovi. I did my morning run to “Livin' on a Prayer.” I sang “It’s My Life” in the shower. I swiveled in my office chair with “Keep the Faith.” Just when I was psyched enough to pour coffee to the tune of “Have a Nice Day,” I got the delay notice from Sambora’s publicist. The rocker pushed his morning call to an afternoon call. My mind went immediately to a recent UK interview in which Bon Jovi himself said that if the band is up at 6 a.m., it’s because they’re still up. I smiled to myself and filled the day’s suspense with a killer playlist, 25 years in the making.

Richie Sambora will be a stranger in this town no more.
The Bon Jovi axman, seeking an investment and a change of scenery, has signed an agreement to buy a condo way up high in 57-story Two Liberty Place. He'll join such folks as former mayoral hopeful Tom Knox, who recently bought half of a somewhat lower floor. (Knox will only be on the 46th.)

Sambora, who owns a piece of the Philadelphia Soul (as does Bon Jovi front man Jon Bon Jovi), is expected to stick around after next week's Wachovia Center shows to talk about his new pad. He may spill the price tag, which likely is in the high seven figures.

Sambora told People mag recently that he's recovering from a horrible 2007, including the death of his father from lung cancer, his divorce from Heather Locklear, alcohol rehab, a custody battle, and a breakup with Denise Richards. He told the mag that he's helping his mother and raising awareness for lung cancer.

Also in real estate: filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan is now asking $6.25 mill for his former seven-bedroom in Gladwyne, which went on the market nearly a year ago for $8 million. He bought it for $4.5 million in 2000, and added much, including a nonpareil home theater.

Guitarist Richie Sambora took vocal duties on "I'll Be There for You," the night's biggest power-ballad moment.

A lot has been made of Bon Jovi's latest CD, "Lost Highway," being the group's country record.

In reality, guitarist Richie Sambora says calling the album country is a misnomer.

"It's not particularly a country album," said Sambora, who was participating in a conference call with reporters in advance of the tour that will bring them to United Center this weekend. "It's more of a Nashville-oriented kind of record."

After 25 years of playing music, Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres still has a smile on his face when his band hits the stage.

"Twenty-five years on the road and 40 years of music. It's the best thing I've ever done in my life," Torres said in an interview. "I feel like I'm a kid up there playing. I'm blessed to have a profession that feels like fun. The traveling and everything else can get you down. Being away from the family is the worst part. The actual playing is spiritual and I'm just enjoying my life. That's why I have such a good time playing."

Lisbon, Portugal – (XX January 2008) – Bon Jovi to headline the World Stage on the 31st of May, the second day of Rock in Rio-Lisboa 2008, The legendary Rock In Rio’s Portuguese event.

Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear were married 11 years before their high-profile divorce. That was just the first of many personal crises to hit Richie. In his first interview in two years, Sambora told “Access Hollywood’s” Tony Potts about what a tough time he’s had and how he is coping.

Bon Jovi has commissioned Academy Award-winning director Barbara Kopple to make a documentary about the band, which she's started working on as the New Jersey rockers prepare for a U.S. tour to promote their latest album, "Lost Highway."

Bon Jovi Guitarist Tells All About Trying Year

Richie Sambora, long-time lead guitarist for Bon Jovi, revealed to People.com that this last year felt like he was, "dragged through hell", but also stated he has come out a better person than he was before.

When Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora entered rehab last year, he had "hit bottom."

Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora has revealed he checked into rehab after he had 'hit bottom' last year.

BON JOVI guitarist RICHIE SAMBORA feared he'd never recover from a severe bout of depression last year (07) - because his life was in tatters.
The musician was admitted to rehab following a lengthy battle with alcohol, sparked by his deteriorating marriage to actress Heather Locklear and the ailing health of his dad, among other factors.
However, Sambora managed to drag himself out of the "wreckage" with the help of his friends and his own courage.
He tells People.com, "I got divorced (from Locklear), I was going through a custody battle, I was having alcohol addiction problems, my dad was dying.
"It was a gang tackle from hell, basically. And crawling out of that wreckage was a very triumphant victory."

New York - Bon Jovi is headlining a concert series to raise funds for lung cancer research - a cause that became personal for the US rockers, after band mate Richie Sambora's father died of the disease last year.

New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi will
kick off the Stand Up For A Cure 2008 Concert Series next week
with a show in New York to help raise funds for lung cancer
research, organizers said on Thursday.

Bon Jovi, Jerry Seinfeld, Brian Wilson and Andrea Bocelli, among others, will perform in various New York City venues throughout 2008 as part of the inaugural Stand Up For A Cure concert series, designed to raise funds and awareness for lung cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

In the week leading up to the U.S. leg of its Lost Highway world tour, Bon Jovi will launch the series with a sold-out concert on Feb. 12 at the 3,500-capacity Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. The intimate show will be dedicated to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora's father, Adam Sambora, who received care at Memorial Sloan-Kettering before passing last year from cancer.
"Cancer is relentless; you can't stop it," Sambora tells Billboard.com. "Hopefully this money will help find answers."
