It's all about Soul

Guitarist Richie Sambora should also get a nice solo or bridge during the song. He made Bo Bice's version of Vehicle into a great-rock song with his guitar play, and it doesn't hurt that Sambora is also part owner of the team. By doing this, the Soul and AFL could use the time that JBJ is not singing to put play-by-play calls from the ArenaBowl win and the 2008 season to make a great marketing package to get ArenaBowl XXIII in Philly next year and to get more butts in seats for the regular season, playoffs and ArenaBowl (especially if the Soul is not in the game). This could also become the team's official song for introductions and after each touchdown, so it needs to have some hard rock in, like Welcome to the Jungle that the Predators use and Enter Sandman like a bunch of team use.

Desperate Housemongers

The glamorous appeal of the pop music world offers other options for moving real estate. In April, the developers of Las Olas River House, an upscale high-rise in Fort Lauderdale, paid Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and a friend about $35,000 to play an acoustic set for prospective buyers. The concert helped sell 12 of 16 vacant units.

AN INTERVIEW WITH JON BON JOVI

by Ted Bauer and his Richie Sambora Appreciation Division

So honestly, could you take Richie Sambora 1 on 1?

No chance. That (expletive) has a hell of a jump shot. He can definitely shoot hoops. You know what else he's good at? Bowling. He'll beat your (expletive) at bowling. The guy's got pollak blood running head to toe. Hell of a curveball on his bowling shot.

If Guitar Hero had ratings like Madden, would Sambora get a 100?

(laughs) Man, I'd hope so. But then again, I recently failed "Rock Band" twice singing one of my own songs. "Wanted Dead or Alive."

Richie Sambora wishes ex-wife Heather Locklear well

interview.jpg

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora enjoys an al fresco lunch in Manhattan. Richie was seen attempting to multi task by eating, talking and trying to read his emails in the bright New York sunshine. As he left, a smiling Sambora stopped to chat to videographers, complaining that their concert in the Big Apple that week had had a 10pm curfew. When asked about his ex-wife Heather Locklear, who has recently been in rehab, the rocker wished his former wife well. He wasn't so generous when asked about Denise Richards, just replying with a curt "No" when asked if he was watching her TV show. Sambora briefly dated Richards, his then neighbour, after splitting from Locklear. Saturday July 12 2008.

Sambora Gives the Ex Report - TMZ.comRichie Sambora says ex-wife Heather Locklear is doing A-OK -- but he doesn't keep up with the exploits of one of his other famous exes.

Review: Bon Jovi swings for the fences

So when Jon Bon Jovi climbed onto the stage at 8:42 p.m. Monday night, he was already attempting the impossible. In a vacuum, the band’s Monday night show at Madison Square Garden was entertaining. Jon’s voice was great; Richie Sambora’s guitar sounded almost as good here as it did in Newark.

Heather Locklear Misses Daughter While in Treatment

Actress Heather Locklear is continuing to receive treatment in an Arizona facility for depression and anxiety issues. And while Heather Locklear seems to be content with her pro-active decision to receive treatment, that doesn’t mean she’s not missing her ten year-old daughter, Ava.

A friend of Heather Locklear’s spoke to People magazine, and told the magazine that, "The hardest part of all of this is being apart from Ava. But she knows she'll be better than ever, and that they'll both really benefit from this. She's feeling better, but it's tough."

Heather Locklear really does seem to be doing better than ever. While last month Heather’s appearance was called into question when she was visited by boyfriend Jack Wagner and was reported to look, “tired, pale and skinny,” the actress seems to be getting back to her stunning self. Says a source inside the facility, Heather looks "bright-eyed, alert and well-rested. She looks so much better.”

Heather Locklear is also happy that while she may not be able to be by her daughter’s side at the moment, her ex-husband Richie Sambora, Ava’s father, has been able to spend some quality time with his daughter. Says a friend, "Heather's really happy that Ava got to spend time with her dad. The friend also added that Locklear and Sambora are “speaking all the time."

The friend continued, “They really have come through [the breakup – and are] on the other side." Nice to see that these two could work through their problems and be civil- even after Richie Sambora had a relationship with Heather Locklear’s former friend Denise Richards shortly after their divorce. If these two can get along, maybe one day there’s even hope for Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook…then again, maybe not.

BON JOVI - SAMBORA AIDES AILING TEEN

BON JOVI rocker RICHIE SAMBORA is auctioning tickets for his band's upcoming New York concerts to help a young girl battle a brain cyst.
The guitarist is working with a New York radio station to help the family of New Jersey high school student Kelly Mahon pay for their daughter's massive medical bills.
Sambora - who shares Mahon's alma mater at Woodbridge High - will begin the bidding for the two Bon Jovi packages at $1,500 (GBP750) when the auction hits the airwaves on Friday (11Jul08) on New York's rock radio station WPLJ.
The winner will receive tickets to the band's upcoming concerts at Madison Square Garden next week (begs14Jul08), autographed memorabilia, and an invitation to meet Sambora backstage before the show.
Mahon was left nearly incapacitated after complications followed a 14-hour operation last autumn (07) to remove the cyst - leaving her dependent on a respirator and suffering from blurred vision.
She remains hospitalised, although doctors say her progress indicates she could return home soon.

Bon Jovi Nears End Of Tour And Looks To Next Projects

Bon Jovi is in the final stretch of its Lost Highway tour, which wraps with a two-night stand at Manhattan's Madison Square Garden on July 14th and 15th. Before that, the group will perform a free show at New York's Central Park this Saturday (July 12th). The New Jersey rockers have been out supporting their 2007 album, Lost Highway, which debuted at Number One, according to Billboard, and has sold more than 3.5 million albums worldwide. Guitarist Richie Sambora says he's thrilled about the band's latest success: "We're the number one tour in the world this year, and that's crazy after 25 years of being out, you know? We've been together for 25 years now."

LL Cool J Calls New Album A "Summer Blockbuster"

LL Cool J says his new album, Exit 13, is his most focused and best record in years. Due out August 5, Exit 13 "is a record that I actually, honestly believe from the deepest part of my soul, I would buy — every record you make is not like that." LL told Rolling Stone that his last few albums have not been up to snuff, due to his acting career taking up much of his time. "With all my television and film projects, the quality level of my recent albums has suffered," but with the writer's strike, he was able to focus once again in the recording studio.

"This new album isn’t gonna be what people are used to hearing from me the last couple of records," he told Rolling Stone. "This thing is gonna be a whole other level of dedication, commitment, creativity — this isn’t the little independent movie, this is the big summer blockbuster.

"Exit 13 features cameos from Wyclef Jean, Lil Kim, KRS-One, Jim Jones, Method Man and The Dream, as well as a remix of the single "Baby" featuring Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. "It’s really a departure," LL says. "Rick Rubin would be proud of me."

The record was titled Exit 13 as it is LL's 13th record with Def Jam, and possibly his last. The veteran rapper was vocal in his displeasure with Jay-Z's term as President of the label. But now that the Jiggaman has stepped down, LL says he and Def Jam are "back on the same page, it feels great. It’s my last record on the contract, but that doesn’t mean that our relationship is over."
