Us Exclusive: Sambora Says He Didn’t Cheat On Locklear

The European leg of Bon Jovi’s Have a Nice Day tour couldn’t have come at a better time for Richie Sambora. On May 9, a little more than two weeks after his romance with Denise Richards (a former friend of his estranged wife, Heather Locklear) first made headlines with allegations of cheating and betrayal, the shy rocker set off for Dusseldorf, Germany. But before he left, Sambora, who has remained mum about his relationships, broke his silence to Us.

“I will do anything to enable all of us to move past all of this,” he told Us. As for charges leveled by Locklear insiders that Sambora and Richards (who began dating mid-March) were together before Locklear filed for divorce in January, he says, “I remained faithful during my marriage. And I defy anyone to refute that.”

Sambora’s rep adds, “His family is his No. 1 priority. Richie is the greatest guy, and he wouldn’t do anything to hurt anyone close to him.”

Bon Jovi star Richie Sambora has denied claims his love for actress Denise Richards sparked the end of his marriage to Heather Locklear.

The guitarist stunned fans when he was spotted kissing his wife's former best friend in April, just four months after Locklear filed for divorce, and has been hounded by reports of a secret affair ever since.

He tells Us Weekly magazine, "I will do anything to enable all of us to move past all of this. I remained faithful during my marriage. And I defy anyone to refute that."

Sambora's representative adds, "His family is his number one priority. Richie is the greatest guy, and he wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone close to him."

Sambora blasts rumors he cheated on Locklear

Richie Sambora is speaking out — and the rocker is blasting rumors that he cheated on wife Heather Locklear.

“I remained faithful during my marriage,” Sambora tells the upcoming issue of Us magazine. “And I defy anyone to refute that.”

Sambora — who is rumored to have dallied with Denise Richards, the estranged wife of Charlie Sheen as well as his wife’s ex-best friend — is clearly miffed about all the headlines surrounding the modern-day Peyton Place drama. “I will do anything to enable all of us to move past all of this,” the Bon Jovi guitarist told Us. “I pride myself on my privacy, and I will continue to value that.”

“He can’t believe he’s accused of wrongdoing, since Heather ended the marriage, tried to break their ironclad prenup and has now started dating David Spade,” an “insider” told the mag, adding that Richards “would love to spend [some] time” with Sambora and is “thinking” about joining him on the European leg of Bon Jovi’s Have a Nice Day tour. “Richie feels he’s entitled to date, too, and he’s developed strong feelings for Denise.”

Bon Jovi star Richie Sambora - currently thought to be dating Denise - has hit back at rumours about the breakdown of his own marriage. The guitarist was spotted getting cosy with Denise, his ex-wife Heather Locklear's former best friend, in April - four months after Heather filed for divorce.

It sparked whispers that the relationship prompted the breakdown of his marriage.

Denying claims of a secret affair,Richie told American magazine Us Weekly: "I remained faithful during my marriage. And I defy anyone to refute that.
"I will do anything to enable all of us to move past all of this."

His spokesman added: "His family is his no.1 priority. Richie is the greatest guy, and he wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone close to him."

Denise Richards filed for divorce in March 2005 from Charlie Sheen, accusing him of threatening her life, having a gambling problem and regularly looking at questionable pornography websites.

Charlie has hit back in an interview on Entertainment Tonight, calling Denise "vile" and "baseless".

Denise has also denied that her relationship with Richie is the reason why she and Heather are no longer friends, saying crypically: "Heather knows why we aren't friends."
