Denise and Richie's Battle Against Cancer
Celebrity couple Denise Richards and her boyfriend of 10 months, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, are sharing a secret and painful battle: each star has a parent that is currently fighting cancer.
“My mother has cancer and Richie’s father has cancer,” Denise told People magazine at Tuesday night’s GM Ten fashion show, held at Paramount Studios in L.A. “It’s hard. Thank God Richie and I have each other not only to go through divorce, but to go through both our parents being ill.”
Richard’s 4-year marriage to “Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen officially ended in November, while Sambora split from blonde bombshell, and Denise’s best friend, Heather Locklear last year.
While the coupe has remained mum on their love, Richie dished this to “Extra” in November, “Obviously we’re doing very well right now”

The actress, who made the revelation at Hollywood's GM Ten fashion show on Tuesday, said they are supporting each other through tough times.

The Blonde And Blonder star has been helping to raise money for Houston's MD Anderson Cancer Center, which is treating both Denise and Richie's parents.
When asked about her relationship with Richie, she told People magazine: "You know, I'm really happy. I'm just taking one day at a time in my life."Denise and the Bon Jovi guitarist began dating following her split from husband of four years, Charlie Sheen, and Richie's separation from actress Heather Locklear, who filed for divorce in February 2006.
Denise has two daughters, Sam J and Lola Rose, while Richie has one daughter, Ava.

As well as helping their parents, the pair are also both going through divorces.

Fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been campaigning for cancer charities and centres following a number of deaths from cancer in her family and it seems that Richards is following suit.
The Blonde and Blonder actress is currently helping to raise money for Houston's MD Anderson Cancer Centre, which is treating her mother and Sambora's father.
But despite the trials she is facing, Richards told the magazine that she is "really happy".
"I'm just taking one day at a time in my life," she added.
Sambora and his estranged wife Heather Locklear split last year while Richards' divorce from Charlie Sheen was finalised last November.
