Sambora / Richards...Locklear? 43

Famous celebrity love triangles (page 2)

Heather Locklear & Richie Sambora & Denise Richards (& Charlie Sheen & David Spade)
Possibly the most delicious gossip in Hollywood history, this love pentangle rivals the most scandalous “Melrose Place” plot. According to (recent) legend, when Denise’s four-year marriage to Charlie falls apart, she is comforted by neighbor and bestest girlfriend Heather Locklear, whose own 11-year-marriage to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora soon hits the skids. Next thing you know, Denise (who is said to have urged Heather to quit Ritchie) is pictured smooching with Richie. Heather runs to the comforting arms of David Spade, only to break up soon after. What ever will happen next?!

Famous celebrity love triangles

From Liz, Dick and Eddie to Lindsay, Hilary and Aaron, scandal abounds

In the Hollywood hills, romantic scandals are derigour. A look back at the most notorious may tell us where the future lies for Brangelina & Co.

Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor & Eddie Fisher
Hollywood’s most notorious love triangle began on the set of “Cleopatra.” Just as the title character fooled around on Julius Caesar with Mark Antony, Taylor began a torrid affair with co-star Richard Burton (playing Mark Antony!) while married to crooner Eddie Fisher. Debbie Reynolds (Princess Leia’s mom) had the last laugh, as Fisher divorced Reynolds for Taylor only a short time before what Burton referred to as “la scandale.”

Britney Spears & Kevin Federline & Shar Jackson
The Cletus & Brandine of pop music began their affair while Shar Jackson was pregnant with her second baby by Federline. Britney and K-Fed were married two months after the birth of his second child, and soon had one of their own, and there very well could be another little Cheeto on the way. We’re all waiting to see where this car crash spins out.

Joey Ramone & Linda Ramone & Johnny Ramone
Punk rock’s most bittersweet legacy began when Johnny (or at least Joey believed) stole, and later married Joey’s girlfriend Linda. During a fight, Johnny beat Joey so badly, he had to receive surgery for a blood clot in his head. That, and their opposing politics (Joey = Left, Johnny = Right) inspired Joey to write the song “The KKK Took My Baby Away.” Though they continued to work together for decades as the only remaining original members of the Ramones, they rarely spoke. When Joey passed away after a long battle with lymphoma in 2001, the two hadn’t spoken in years. When Johnny died of prostate cancer three years later, he and Linda were still married.

Julia Roberts & That Guy & His Wife
Luckless-in-love Roberts hooked up with married cameraman Danny Moder while filming “The Mexican” (co-staring Brad Pitt) in 2000. Roberts denyed being a skanky ho in the press, but Moder’s soon-to-be ex, Vera Steimberg Moder, said otherwise. Roberts and the camera guy married in 2004 and named their twins Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter.

Lady Diana & Prince Charles & “The Rotweiller”
Prince Charles was in love with the married Camilla Parker Bowles but married the virginal and unsuspecting Diana Spencer anyway, because his mother, the Queen, told him to. Or something. He did his royal duty and produced two princes with Diana, though apparently never ended his thing with Camilla, whom Diana referred to as “The Rotweiller.” Charles and Diana divorced, Diana died horribly in paparazzi-induced car accident, Charles married the Rotweiller.

Ava Gardner & Frank Sinatra &. Mrs. Nancy Sinatra
Even with his career in the dumps, Sinatra was able to cat around on his long-suffering wife and mother of his children, “Nancy Sr.” After his obsessive affair with Gardner went public, however, the two were separated in 1950 and Sinatra married Gardner in 1951. Like all the best illicit Hollywood romances, it burned out fast and the two were divorced a few years later. Luckily for Sinatra, however, Gardner managed to revive his career by getting him cast in “From Here to Eternity.”

Mia Farrow & Woody Allen & Soon-Yi Previn
Mia Farrow adopted a lot of kids, some with former husband Andre Previn, some with long-time partner Woody Allen. She also had some kids, including one with Woody Allen, though the two never lived together. It all went to heck in a hand basket when Farrow found nude pictures of one of her adopted daughters, Soon-Yi, in Allen’s apartment. All kinds of ugliness ensued, including Allen’s current marriage to former daughter-figure Soon-Yi. Oh, and they have a baby together, too. Yuck. Yuck. And double yuck.

Katherine Hepburn & Spencer Tracy & Mrs. Spencer Tracy
Despite what you may have seen in “The Aviator,” Hepburn was long done with Howard Hughes before she and Tracy fell in love on the set of “Woman of the Year.” The two filmed nine movies and were together until Tracy’s death, though they never lived together until near the end of Tracy’s life. Either because of devout Catholicism or dedication to his deaf son, Tracy never divorced his first wife, Louise. The affair was widely known. Nonetheless, the two maintained decorum. Though heartbroken by his passing, Hepburn did not attend Tracy’s funeral out of respect for his family.

Brian Jones & Anita Pallenberg & Keith Richards
Jones lost his hot Swedish model girlfriend Pallenberg to Keith Richards, and was soon after kicked out of the Rolling Stones — the band he founded. Richards and Pallenberg went on to do a lot of drugs and have three children together before splitting up. Pallenberg also had an affair with Stones frontman Mick Jagger while co-starring with him in the film, “Performance.” Jones drowned mysteriously in his swimming pool in 1969. The theory that he was murdered by a builder renovating his home is dramatized in the new movie, “Stoned.”

Lindsay Lohan & Aaron Carter & Hilary Duff
It depends on whom you ask, but apparently there was some overlap during the time Carter dated Lohan and Duff. Instead of hating the player, or even the game, the teen queens chose to hate each other, resulting in a cat fight backstage at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards. Rumor has it Duff tried to have Lohan barred from the set of “Cheaper by the Dozen” and Lohan threw food at Duff’s automobile. Both allegedly have thinly-disguised nasty songs about each other on their respective LPs.

Loni Anderson & Burt Reynolds & That waitress in Tampa
The marriage between two Hollywood Has-Beens dissolved bitterly and all over the tabloids, gaining both the most press either had in years. It seems Reynolds had this thing going with a waitress at an Italian restaurant in Tampa (just a few hours away from the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater in Jupiter, Fla.). Anyway, the divorce ugliness flew and then Reynolds had to file for bankruptcy. Luckily, “Boogie Nights” came around and Reynolds started working again.

Denise & Heather: Still Feuding?

It's downright childish. But is it true? Did Heather Locklear and a pal recently park outside Denise Richards's Westlake Village house and blast Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer"?

Locklear stopped speaking to Richards after finding out that she is dating Locklear's estranged husband, Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora. But as PEOPLE reports in its new issue, a Locklear pal denies she pulled any Hollywood-turned-high-school hijinks: "It 100 percent never, ever happened."

Counters a Richards pal: "It is 100 percent true." (Math, Hollywood style.)

This much is certain: On May 20, Locklear, 44, joined pals, including rumored beau David Spade (who sources say is just a friend), for dinner at L.A. hot spot Republic.

That same night, Richards, 35 – who is now seeking a cut of Charlie Sheen's Screen Actors Guild pension in addition to sole custody of their two kids – watched from backstage as Sambora, 46, rocked out with Bon Jovi in Dublin.

The two then hopped a private jet and checked into a five-star hotel south of Naples.

Who needs drive-by serenades? They can make their own music.

NUOVO AMORE

Denise Richards and Richie Sambora wind down their Italian vacation in Ravello, strolling and browsing through ceramic stores before popping into the Hotel Palazzo Sasso, a five-star resort with panoramic views of the Mediterranean. This weekend Richie will continue his tour with Bon Jovi in Germany.
