Aussie rocker Shannon Noll breaks into the States by way of New York.

This month, he comes to the U.S. hoping his third album, "Turn It Up," will break him into the competitive American market. He got some American help on "Turn It Up" as well; the album features collaborations with Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora as well as Grammy-nominated producer Luke Ebbin.

Noll first gained attention as runner-up of "Australian Idol" in 2003, where he earned praise for his powerful vocal style. The show landed him a record deal with Sony BMG and generated two top-selling albums.
