Richie drug shame
BON Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora checked into rehab yesterday after a disastrous MTV gig.
Sambora, 47, is being treated in Los Angeles for an undisclosed substance abuse problem.
It follows an MTV show in New York on Tuesday, described as "laughable" by audience members.
The guitarist was so blitzed and off-key during the recording of Bon Jovi Unplugged that his bandmates turned his microphone off - without him even noticing.
His publicist appealed for privacy and confirmed: "Richie Sambora has entered an undisclosed treatment facility in LA."
Sambora split from actress Denise Richards several months ago after a year-long relationship.
It began when he split from wife Heather Locklear.
