Divorce talk

Craig Schelske, the husband of singer Sara Evans, is suing John Hollins Sr., one of his wife’s divorce attorneys, for slander and libel.

Schelske says Hollins made false statements about him to the media, including People magazine, by claiming there were photos that proved Schelske had engaged in illicit or adulterous activity. Evans dropped out of “Dancing With the Stars” after claiming Schelske was having an affair. He accused her of having one.

Diamond lost about that much in a settlement with his second wife, Marica Murphey, in 1996 and said it was “worth every penny.” Spielberg had to give $100 million to actress Amy Irving in 1989 after she successfully contested a prenuptial agreement that had been written on a napkin.

Lessons learned?

Industry types say for all the mess this week around Don Imus, it won’t change how morning shock jock types do their jobs.

“The question is not ‘How far can we go?’ ” said Michael Harrison, publisher of the trade magazine Talkers. “It’s always been, ‘Go as far as we can go.’ And then you start testing the line again.”

“The only rule is there are no rules,” said Ron Kuby, who co-hosts a morning show in New York with Guardian Angels founder Curtis Silwa. “Once you get beyond the FCC, a host is left to the discretion of a program director, station manager, bosses they’ve never seen, advertisers and a fickle public. What might be fine today results in a boycott tomorrow.”

Dancing with baby

“Dancing With the Stars” co-host Samantha Harris told People she decided to go public with her pregnancy Monday because people were suggesting she’d augmented her breasts.

“My publicist was getting calls about it, my family got calls about it,” Harris, says. “I did not get a boob job, but I have put on a little weight because I am happy to finally say I am pregnant.”

It will be the first child for Harris and her financial wholesaler husband, Michael. The pregnancy won’t interfere with her duties on the show.

•Patti Smith, the Stooges and Modest Mouse have been added to the 2007 Lollapalooza bill Aug. 3-5 in Chicago.
•Nicole Kidman was awarded the Companion of the Order of Australia, her country’s top civil honor, in a ceremony Friday.

“It’s a pat on the back, which as a little girl is something you dream of,” she said.
