Jon Bon Jovi, Jewel Perform at Nashville Benefit
Jon Bon Jovi, bandmate Richie Sambora, Jewel and Big & Rich performed Tuesday night (March 27) at Nashville's Cannery Ballroom during a benefit for the family of Buck Jones, a singer-songwriter who died March 17 after being hit by a car near an interstate highway in Royse City, Texas. After his vehicle blew a tire, Jones was walking along a service road when he was struck by a driver who was later charged with intoxicated manslaughter. Jones and Bon Jovi met last year after the rock star made a surprise appearance at one of Billy Block's Western Beat music showcases in Nashville. Jones, who is survived by a wife and a 7-month-old son, had been scheduled to perform at Tuesday's Western Beat show. Billy Currington and Keith Anderson also appeared at the charity show.
