ESPN Arena Football to feature Bon Jovi-Big & Rich song "We Got It Goin' On"

ESPN's return to the Arena Football League will feature a duet between the iconic, Grammy Award-winning rock band Bon Jovi and country
sensations Big & Rich. Philadelphia Soul co-owner Jon Bon Jovi and band-mate Richie Sambora co-wrote a brand new song titled "We Got It
Goin' On" with Big Kenny and John Rich that will become the theme song
and part of the opening video for ESPN's weekly 2007 AFL game telecasts.
"We Got It Goin' On" will also appear on the upcoming Bon Jovi album,
which is planned for a 2007 release.

The open will take viewers inside an AFL arena where they will witness all the sights and sounds of Arena Football - everything from hard hits against dasher boards to dynamic end zone catches. ESPN taped video elements earlier this month at the Stockton Arena and Bob Hope Theatre in Stockton, Calif., and Bon Jovi recorded team specific lyrics for the song at his personal studio in New Jersey for each game on ESPN's 17-week AFL schedule.

The video will debut prior to the AFL regular season regional kickoff games on Sunday, March 4 on ABC - Dallas Desperados at New York Dragons and Chicago Rush at Kansas City Brigade (12:30 p.m. ET).

"Jon Bon Jovi has become a symbol of Arena Football, and his band remains one of the most popular on the planet, so it's only fitting that their music be part of ESPN's presentation of the AFL this season," said Norby Williamson, executive vice president, studio and remote production, ESPN.

Bon Jovi added: "I couldn't be happier that our song is kicking off ESPN's AFL games this season. My passion for the game is no secret, and this song conveys the passion and energy that the players and fans put forth every game."

Other music icons to provide the soundtrack for a major sports property on ESPN recently include Hank Williams Jr. and Aerosmith. Williams Jr. and an all star band of "rowdy friends" kicked off ESPN's inaugural season of Monday Night Football last fall, while Aerosmith's "Back in the Saddle" continues to trumpet ESPN's return to NASCAR. Other popular performers to lend their music to ESPN: The Pussycat Dolls (NBA); Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy, OK Go, and Robert Randolph and the Family band (college football); and Boyd Tinsley of Dave Matthews Band (Wimbledon).
