What’s the latest Hollywood trend? Actresses trading down on looks and up on laughs in the romance department. Although the evidence is only anecdotal, Us Weekly seems to be onto something in its photo spread "Funny: The New Sexy.’ Exhibit A: Jennifer Aniston going from gorgeous gym rat Brad Pitt to gigglicious Vince Vaughn. But there are also Heather Locklear replacing hunky rocker Richie Sambora with funnyman David Spade; Mandy Moore trading handsome tennis ace Andy Roddick for laughable Scrubs star Zach Braff; and Rebecca Romijn dumping studly John Stamos for jocular Jerry O’Connell. Go ahead and cackle, but, if Reese Witherspoon dumps Ryan Phillippe for Carrot Top, we’ll know there’s really something to it.
