Denise Richards was spotted passionately kissing and walking hand-in-hand with Richie Sambora – her best friend's ex-husband.

According to People magazine the pair were spotted meeting at a Los Angeles café on Saturday.

The pair kissed, then walked off together smiling and chatting. Sources say they ate outside the city's Le Café - gazing into each other's eyes and holding hands.

Richards kissed Sambora on the hand, he returned the gesture, and the couple then kissed on the lips, reports the magazine. Apparently they left the café together at 5.45pm, and drove away in the same car.

Bon Jovi star Sambora was married to Heather Locklear – a good friend of Richards – for 11 years before they divorced in February. Richards also left her husband – actor Charlie Sheen – earlier this year.
