Bo Bice, 'American Idol' Runner-Up, Signs with 19 Recordings/RCA Records
The B-side of Bice's single is a remake of "Vehicle," the Ides of
March No. 2 hit from 1970. Bice performed "Vehicle" twice on "American
Idol," winning praise from judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy
Jackson. The version recorded for the single features Richie Sambora
(lead guitarist for Bon Jovi) on guitar. Both sides of Bice's premier
single were produced by Desmond Child.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 2005--Bo Bice, the popular runner-up of the fourth season of "American Idol," has been signed to 19 Recordings/RCA Records by Clive Davis, Chairman and CEO of BMG U.S. and Simon Fuller, creator of "American Idol" and of 19 Recordings.
The 29-year-old native of Birmingham, Alabama, already has millions of fans, thanks to his sensational performances week after week during the latest season of "American Idol." His first single, "Inside Your Heaven," will be released on June 21. Bice performed the song, written by Andreas Carlsson, Pelle Nylen and Savan Kotecha, on the finale of "American Idol," watched by over 30 million viewers.

Even before his first single goes on sale, Bice is in great demand. He will appear on NBC-TV's "The Today Show" on June 20, ABC-TV's "The View" on June 22 and NBC-TV's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on July 6. He has already appeared on "Live With Regis and Kelly" and has been interviewed on CNN's "Larry King Live."
After the release of "Inside Your Heaven" / "Vehicle," Bice will join the other "Idol" finalists from the top 10 of season four on a 30-plus city summer tour that will kick off July 12 in Sunrise, Florida and wind-up in Syracuse, New York on Sept. 10th. During the tour, Bice will also be busy recording his debut album for 19 Recordings/RCA Records, with a release scheduled for the fall.
